Motivation Monday – Make your time count

Time is so important to each and every one of us. Its one of the few things in life you cant get back. At times we tend to take that for granted yet we do it anyway. This is when procrastination kicks in and usually follows up with regret. I will explain this a bit more.

Taking a break from working hard or training hard is always a good thing as your mind needs to reset in order for you to come back stronger. With the statement above I am more referring to the time you put in when you are working hard, or training hard. This is the time that is so important, its also the time we often overlook.

When you have an assignment for class that you leave till the last minute and it shows in your results. When your boss asks you to do something for him and you do half a job and he notices the effort or lack thereof. When you have an important game coming up and you don’t perform to the best of your ability and it shows in the result.

Those are the moments I am talking about. Those are the ones where we need to close our eyes and just give it everything we have as they affect us so much more than we know. If you aren’t giving your all into something, then why do you even bother?

You are letting the most important person down, yourself. And don’t do less than your best just because you don’t get the desired response from those around you. You should be doing it for you.

So the next time you have something important that needs to be done, make sure you do it to the best of your ability. It is important to those around you, but it is most important for you, so that you don’t end up disappointing yourself. Never let yourself down.

My quote for this week.

“Integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is watching” ~ C.S. Lewis
